| We find model’s lives before they become models totally fascinating, and Charlie’s back story is a page turner. A former nursery school teacher from Brooklyn, NY, Charlie was discovered after being featured in the New York Times for the Underground Model Boxing tournaments being held in NYC (who knew?). Since he was getting a lot of press, his girlfriend suggested he sign with an agency. He did! With Major NY and Milan. And since then, he has been photographed by Walter Pfeiffer for i-D, Chris Craymer and Pamela Hansen for Glamour and has been in the DKNY S/S 11 lookbook. Hey, it might have started for Charlie with a slap, but this Starcraft, World of Warcraft and LARP (that’s Live Action Role Playing for those not familiar with the complex and murky world of gaming) is no model lightweight. By the way, did we mention he was a pro paintballer too? |
